SIB believes in the vast potential of UAE national talent and wants to move into the future by harnessing and developing this talent. Every effort is taken to attract nationals to occupy the various junior and senior positions in the bank and no efforts are spared in developing the nationals through various Training, developing and coaching programs.
The efforts taken and their effectiveness is evident from the fact that our bank hosts the services of UAE nationals in various responsible leading roles including Branch Managers, Division Heads and Top Management positions. SIB’s surge into the future is being spearheaded by this loyal and committed team.
SIB follows a two pronged approach in this area. Along with efforts to increase the number of national employees as a proportion of the total workforce, we also strive to upgrade their skills in an efficient manner.
Hence, training nationals is not limited to Orientation and on the job training; rather, it is a continuous process involving regular and intensive training courses, allowing them to upgrade their skills and cope with the latest developments in the banking industry.
Many national employees are also sent to attend specialized training courses, either at the Emirates Banking Institute, with reputed Training Vendors or abroad.
This is all part of our overall ambition to nurture a qualified generation of nationals as bankers for the future of the country.
