Etisalat monthly auto payment for the first time in UAE

Sharjah Islamic Bank announced today the launch of its latest electronic banking services under the slogan (Weyy@com), in line with the bank’s keenness to provide the best services and establish permanent contact channels with customers as per the directives of the board members and senior management.
Jassem Al Baloushi, Head of Electronic Channels at SIB, said the bank has recently updated its Internet e-services to correspond with the boom in the field of technology and to meet the expectations of its valued customers. The new bouquet of “Weyy@com” online services enables customers to register for auto payments feature for Etisalat bills, which is the first in the UAE, in addition to other utility payment features such as SEWA (auto payment) and DEWA bills. The services also offer other accounts and credit cards services such as account transaction history, view cheque image, account to account transfer (with standing order option), activation and deactivation of cards…etc.
Al Baloushi clarified that the launch of the “Weyy@com” online services reflects the directives of the senior management and the vision of SIB, which aspires to provide innovative services to its clients in a totally secure environment. Starting today, the service will be available for retail customers in both Arabic and English languages in phase one of the project, however, corporate online banking services are in process and will be ready in the near future.
Regarding the auto payment for Etisalat utility bills, clients have the option to register with the service and make a full payment of the entire amount in the monthly bill every time, Al Baloushi added.
He also said that the service which is available 24/7, will enable customers to conduct their dealings anytime of the day and from anywhere around the world at no extra charge. It’s actually an addition to the achievements of Sharjah Islamic Bank as we seek to invest in enhancing our customer service.
Confidentiality and maximum safety and security were a priority in the design and implementation of the “Weyy@com” service, and as results the Bank is committed to the protection and confidentiality of customers’ accounts, through state-of the-art security network which has been designed and reviewed by a team of qualified and specialized staff, he clarified.

The new online service is a part of the electronic services provided by the Sharjah Islamic Bank such as “Nebrass” phone banking, SMS and ATM services, in addition to other modern Islamic banking services.
It is noted that SIB has won numerous awards in this year and previous years, such as the awards for “Best Contact Center” and “best quality assurance program” in the Middle East, which were achieved by SIB’s contact center. There is also the Dubai Quality Award and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award 2008, in addition to the Sharjah Award for Economic Excellence for the third consecutive time.
