Sharjah Islamic Bank opens its fifth branch in Dubai

 

HE Mohammed Abdullah, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, opened the bank's fifth branch in Dubai. The new branch is located on Port Saeed Road, and was inaugurated in the presence of Essa Ali Al Zaabi, Senior Vice President, Institutional Support Sector at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

 

The new Port Saeed branch aims to offer a superior and unique banking experience and Shari'ah compliant products and services, in support of Dubai's 'Capital of Islamic Economy' initiative. It brings the total number of the bank's branches in the UAE to 31.

 

In celebration of the UAE Flag Day, an electronic curtain was unveiled to show the UAE flag and a decorated commemorative plaque for the branch opening. The opening ceremony was attended by Ahmed Saad, Deputy CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, and a group of VIPs, businessmen and special guests.

 

HE Mohammed Abdullah said, "Opening any new branch of the bank entails a great deal of responsibility for employees to deliver best in class services in support of the national economy, and to bolster the presence of Islamic finance in the economic development process. We will open more branches in the country in the future, to demonstrate the bank's leadership and show its role in the national economic development."

 

Essa Ali Al Zaabi praised the SIB's positive performance, saying, "We are pleased to attend the opening of SIB's new branch in Dubai, the 5th in the emirate. This expansion reflects the magnitude of success achieved by the bank's various services and products and its ever-growing clientele base. We wish them success in their endeavors."

 

The Port Saeed branch provides many services for retail, corporate and SME clients, and the other banking services. The new branch also offers retail banking services, such as current and saving accounts, deposits, credit cards and finance
