Job Purpose:
The job purpose of a Software Developer with experience in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and BPM (Business Process Management) typically involves analyzing, optimizing, and automating business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. This role entails identifying areas within the bank's operations where automation and optimization can be applied effectively to streamline workflows, eliminate redundancies, and enhance customer experiences.
Key Accountabilities:
The primary responsibility of a Process Automation Analyst is to streamline and optimize business processes through the implementation of automation solutions. This role involves:
- Process Analysis: Collaborating with business stakeholders to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation. This includes understanding the workflow, identifying repetitive tasks, and assessing the feasibility of automation.
- Solution Design: Designing automation solutions that address identified process inefficiencies and improve overall efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. This may involve selecting appropriate automation technologies, defining automation workflows, and mapping out process automation requirements.
- Automation Development: Developing automation workflows and scripts using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools or other automation technologies. This includes configuring bots, coding scripts, and integrating automation solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Testing and Validation: Conducting thorough testing of automation solutions to ensure they function correctly and meet business requirements. This involves testing automation workflows in various scenarios, debugging any issues, and validating the accuracy and reliability of automation results.
- Deployment and Maintenance: Deploying automation solutions into production environments and ensuring their ongoing maintenance and stability. This includes monitoring automation performance, handling any errors or exceptions that arise, and making necessary updates or enhancements to automation workflows.
- Documentation: Creating comprehensive documentation for automation solutions, including design documents, technical specifications, user guides, and training materials. This helps ensure that stakeholders understand how automation solutions work and how to use them effectively.
- Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users and stakeholders on how to use automation solutions. This may involve conducting training sessions, answering questions, and providing ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and utilization of automation technologies.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Having more than 5 years of relevant automation experience with (preferably) 3 years of experience automating banking processes
- Understanding of banking business areas
- Good understanding of RPA and BPM tools like UiPath, Blue Primsim, IBM BPM, Ultimus and etc
- Had some experience developing applications
- Must have thorough understanding and experience of SDLC / project life cycle of development, implementation and upgrade projects.
- Must have experience working on agile projects.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and stretch to meet timelines
- Bachelors in Electronic and Communication Engineering or B.SC
- Bilingual (English & Arabic) preferred for effective communication across diverse audiences.
